LENA RAMFELT, PhD
Lena Ramfelt is a successful angel investor, advisor, educator and best-selling author. She has helped launch companies in Jordan, Nepal, Singapore, Portugal, Sweden, USA, and more.
Having worked with scores of entrepreneurs around the world, Lena describes herself as “professionally raised” in Silicon Valley, after spending 15 years teaching entrepreneurship at Stanford University. Lena spent her time in Silicon Valley consulting with high-growth tech startups, mentoring CEO's of telecomm, high tech, and social media firms as well as Fortune 50 companies. Today Lena leads Creative Startups' acceleration programs and works closely with portfolio companies to grow their value and revenues.
Lena has consulted with: Social Entrepreneurial Forum, Babson College, The World Bank, Stockholm School of Economics, Royal Institute of Technology, Malmo University, Inter-American Development Bank, Kings College, Seeds of Peace.
Lena holds a Masters in Economics, a PhD in Entrepreneurship, and has authored five books on entrepreneurship. Lena's superpower is her ability to inspire the most exhausted entrepreneur to rise up and fight another day. She lives in Stockholm with her family and kayaks every chance she gets.
ALICE LOY, PhD
Alice Loy co-founded Creative Startups in 2007 with a vision for disrupting traditional - outdated - modes of investing in creative entrepreneurs as social change leaders.
As a pioneer of the global creative economy movement, Alice has worked with hundreds of creative founders over the past decade, has co-authored a ground-breaking book, and launched the leading global accelerator for creative companies.
Alice co-founded the Creative Startups Accelerator to build the movement to invest in creative entrepreneurs who build a more equitable and inclusive economy. To date, accelerator alumni have raised $212 million in venture funding and created over 700 jobs.
An informed and proactive impact and angel investor, Alice has been recognized with humanitarian awards and fellowships reflecting her decades of impact investment activism.
Alice holds an MBA and a PhD. She speaks Spanish fluently. Her superpower is knowing the species name of nearly all trees. She lives in Santa Fe with her family.
Originally from China, Shuangyi has a background in building creative brands in the immersive space. After departing the immersive juggernaut, Meow Wolf, Shaungyi turned her attention to leading efforts to bring more diverse creative companies into the venture investment space. Shuangyi is a musician and multi-TEDx speaker. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from St.John’s College and is currently finishing her first book which chronicles her journey from China to the USA.
Julia is a skilled global program manager having built and delivered accelerator programs in the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and USA.
With a background in theatre, Julia brings a keen sense of the power of creativity to transform communities and shape economic opportunities. Julia's Masters Degree in Community and Regional Planning enables her to lead ecosystem development and inclusivity.
Julia is currently pursuing her PhD at Oxford University.
